Title: AEA Console firewall questions
Post by: gprzybyl on July 20, 2012, 11:37:37 PM
I've just installed the latest AEA console and am setting up the firewall policies.  I have three questions.

1) In the AEA guide under firewall shield it gives a link for detailed information on application rules.  I click on the link and I get ERROR: You are not allowed to view this article or the article does not exist. .  What is the right link for that? Here is the paragraph:

For detailed information see the following article on the avast! web site: https://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=482

2) Under the Remove Application there is a slider bar, what is it's purpose?

3) I see that if I click on application rules button for a particular application  already defined I see there is something called Friends In and Friends Out.  Am I correct in assuming that there is no special meaning to these terms?  That "Friends" is basically whatever you define to be the IP Addresses?  Also what format of IP Addressing is supported in that box.

Thanks!
Greg

   To answer my own questions:

1)  I see the link is now working, it point to the avast 5.x firewall config guide thank you.

2)  I am assuming the slider bar is the same as it was in v5.

3) Friends In and Out have no special meaning.
