Title: Avast and upgrade to Mountain Lion
Post by: greenflow on July 26, 2012, 09:52:29 PM
My computer is currently running MacOS 10.7.3 (Lion) and Avast free for Mac. Before upgrading to Mountain Lion, do I need to uninstall Avast first and then reinstall it after I have upgraded to Mountain Lion?

Also, is Avast for Mac already compatible with Mountain Lion or should I wait awhile for Avast to make the necessary changes? Thanks.

No. But, once upgrading to Mountain Lion, avast!, you will notice that the program will not be running. To fix that, just open the program window and it will prompt you to enter your password in order to repair. Should take a few seconds.

You should perform a program update before upgrading your system, just to avoid any other errors.
Other than that, it's fine!  :)
