Title: pleas Help with BSOD
Post by: ACG on August 01, 2012, 07:44:49 PM
Hello Avast.

I been having a bit of a problem, Avast seems to be preventing a program  from running, its a game called FlyFF gold.
I can load the game but when it's about to launcher I get a BSOD.
I added the path to the game to every exclusions list that I could find and the file system shield.
I been trying to solve the problem at the games developers side but according to them the problem is with Avast 7,
there's been many players with the same problem and the game's developers been telling everyone to downgrade to Avast 6
which seems to fix the problem, I dont want to downgrade.
Can you pleas help?

I'm running windows 7 x64 with Avast Free 7.0.1456

Try adding the executable or file to behavior shield. Also maybe include the exact file in addition to folder location in file system shield exclusion. If these don't work, disable avast for the duration of the game but yoy MUST enable when you finish playing. If you want, try disabling the shields when launching Flyff, then enabling them once you are in game.
