Title: mozilla plug-in
Post by: aykay_de on January 10, 2005, 10:13:53 AM
Dear all

Since this morning 0:48 hrs I got rid of the MS INternet Explorer and Outlook and replaced them with Firefox and Thunderbird. Although I could only do some little testing, the Firefox browser was really remarkably faster than IE (I'm still using an ISDN line).
Regarding the Thunderbird E-mail client I can only tell that the import of the Outlook settings (including several accounts) worked perfectly.

My only concern is now that I loose the fantastic E-mail protection feature from the avast Outlook plug-in!

Does anyone in the community know if the Mozilla client is pretty save itself or does the email protection through avast is also working for this open-source email-client?!

Thanks for your help!

Best regards
AyKay

The Internet Mail provider in Avast works with thunderbird.

Although there are a few differences, such as infected attachments can only be deleted  and not moved to chest.

Just make sure the Internet mail provider is running  :)

You do not need to change any thunderbird settings.
