Post by: xchee on August 07, 2012, 04:26:28 PM
i am a new mac user and I decided to choose avast as my anti virus program
when I scan my mac with avast for the first time I got this (http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/6936/screenshot20120807at933.jpg)
what is this and how can I get rid of it? and does avast protect against spyware and malware? if not are there any free programs that does protect against malware and spyware for free for mac?

Hi,

The decompression bomb is just a warning saying that avast! couldn't look into that file. It's not any kind of threat or issue you should be worried about.

avast! protects from malware, spyware and other potentially unwanted programs and it's free.
