Title: So apparently The Trial version is my problem.

I was running the avast! internet security 20 day trial, and my computer was acting up with various problems. After switching back to the Free version, EVERYTHING was fixed. No more weird sound after logging in, nothing. I'm just posting this so someone might look through problems with the free trial, if there are any of it might be computer specific.
