Title: Mountain Lion & Build 37264 - network problems
Post by: Herman_verschooten on August 12, 2012, 04:13:18 PM
Hi,
I recently upgraded to mountain lion and noticed some issues with my network connections no longer behaving as they should.
I had 28 apps to upgrade in iTunes, but the downloads gave me a 9006 error. I googled and found a reference telling me this could be caused by an antivirus.
I disabled the file and web shield and all updates succeeded. I wanted to post about this in this forum, but forgot my password. I asked for a reminder, I got it on my PC, but Mail on mac would not update. I disabled the mail shield and mail started coming in.  I read  about the 37264-build being compatible, but for me it is not working. Another thing that was blocked was my backups to Time Machine, they restarted after stopping the shields.

Should I try an uninstall/reinstall? And if so, how do I do this?

Thanks,

Herman

Hi,

You can uninstall avast! from its menu (avast! -> Uninstall avast!). Then, download new version from our website (www.avast.com). Post here the result, please.

If it won't help, we'll look more into it.

Thanks,
Jan
