I want to reinstall avast! 4 Home  but i can;t. Is there a way that i can get another registration number or that they can e-mail the old one to my new e-mail?

Hey Chris305,
First let me say welcome to the forum. My name is radicalb21. There are two things you can do:

1. SEND an email to support@avast.com . Then also give your name and the old email address you used and they should be able to find your old key.

and

2. Go to the following url:

http://www.avast.com/i_kat_207.php?lang=ENG

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask any and all questions

Don't worry. The key for Avast Home is free as long as you comply to the license terms (home user, non commercial etc). Just visit the webpage Radical gave under option 2 and get a new key and use it.

As far I know, the checking is made with the email address.
Same email, same key (free).
In these cases, I suggest you change your email (if possilble) or, at least, check them by webmail and not by your email program.
Spam killers applications should be well configurated, otherwise, you'll lose the email.

The fresh install of avast after cleaning (I assume format) your HDD should give you 60 days use before needing to input you registration key, so there is no immediate rush.

You posted at 1:44 PM and I posted at 1:55 PM. You say customer support is bad. I beg to differ. Support in this forum is awesome. I gave you two options to solve your problem. So how can you say support is bad. I also stated if you had any other questions feel free to ask me. If you had a problem with what I said please contact me by email or IM through my profile or by personal message in the forum. I am one of the easiest people to get along with.

Yea I know radicalb21, you tried to get my problem solved and I thank you for it . I am not blaming anyone on the forums because everyone helps and I thank everyone for it but what I am saying that  3-4 days is enough to response  to  an E-mail.

Thank you for the kind words about the people in the forum. They are greatly appreciated. I would send another email to support with a copy of what you already sent and inquire. That email addy for support is:  support@avast.com . I can't answer to why you haven't gotten a reply by email. I have sent a link of the this thread to the Alwil Team and someone should respond. Hopefully VLK or igor can answer this question. I hope this helps.

Honestly, I don't really see what's the problem here.
I suggest to simply register (http://www.avast.com/i_kat_207.php?lang=ENG) again, with the new e-mail address - you will receive a new registration key.

I can't see how you can say customer support is bad!

Yes you sent an email which you haven't yet received a reply, there can be many reasons for this. You were given several options here that didn't need an email to be sent. The reply would probably have given the same advice as here re-register and you will be sent a new registration key, giving you another FREE 14 months VPS updates and use of the program FREE.

Where else do you get any form of support when using FREE anti-virus software? Certainly not at AVG or any others I have used.
