Title: Mapson.D not detected by Avast 4
Post by: Lito on September 02, 2003, 04:08:30 PM
This is a new version of the Mapson worm, you can find the information at http://www.alerta-antivirus.es/virus/detalle_virus.html?cod=2959&PHPSESSID=f176229e0030a3a48c087346e3444831 (http://www.alerta-antivirus.es/virus/detalle_virus.html?cod=2959&PHPSESSID=f176229e0030a3a48c087346e3444831) (site in Spanish). Until now I think is only detected by Kaspersky, Panda and PER; it would be nice if Avast could detected it too ;D.

I have an email with this worm, if anybody want it I'll send it to him.

Regards and sorry for my bad english, Lito.

Hi, thanks for the answer. I sent yesterday the email to baudis at avant.com. It's the same or I need to send the worm again to the new address ::)?

Cheers, Lito.

For this email account, both variants are right: @avast.com, @asw.cz.

...but not avant.com!

Hi all,
I confirm that all files arrived and are under inspection now. If they are indeed viral (or trojans), they will be added into the nearest update.

We have also created special email address to send the suspected files to: virus@avast.com (or virus@asw.cz). Messages sent to this address are redirected to several people inside our virus lab so even if anybody is out of the office, the files will not be missed...

regards,
Pavel
