Title: eMail scanner conflict?
Post by: Johnboy on January 17, 2005, 11:23:58 AM
A very quick question, Guys.

I have Zone-alarm firewall installed and its scanner for eMail is classified as 'basic' ie. VBS only.
Does Avast give me better protection and should I disable Zone-alarm eMail scanner?

Your help would be appreciated.
Johnboy ???

Hi Gyl,
Thanks for the input, the concern was conflict, but if the two will run together - great.
Thanks

ZA could 'block' all VBS emails.
avast will scan all of them and will block only the infected ones.
The two applications won't conflict.

Thanks Technical,
Perfect, that is what I hoped you would say, because I have faith in both applications.

Because I have faith in both applications.

Me too but ZA (free) does not have a support forum like this one in avast  ;)

Hi Technical,
Yes, their loss - where else could you get such great support and assistance!

You guys make the difference between a product working properly and shooting in the dark.

Keep on keeping on.
Cheers,
John
