Title: Win32:Nach - help needed
Post by: Bourneville on September 03, 2003, 12:44:17 PM
Only just downloaded Avast, then this alert for "Win32:Nach" pops up in my DLLHOST.EXE - but Avast won't/can't fix/delete/move to chest etc.

Can someone please tell me what this virus is and what to do about it?

 ???

Seems to be a blaster Variant:  http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=WORM_MSBLAST.D (http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=WORM_MSBLAST.D)

You can get more infos in this forum by looking for Blaster, or by using the above link.

Mate, you're a star and fully deserve those five shiny tributes next to your name.

Followed the instructions, downloaded the XP patch, rescanned for viruses and the Nach has been given its marching orders.

Nice to know that PC muppets like me can call on some friendly expertise.

Ta very much!
