No, it should work for any forum user. What exactly does it say?

First you should select the appropriate map to be accurate, then click on "Place your Pin", click on the right place, write in the City name and finally click on "Save my Pin"
Let me know about any problems!

It seems to be working only in the default layout. E.g. I was using the ALWIL New Theme and the Place My Pin link was missing ;)

It looked already familiar to me ;D ;D ;D

It would be interesting to see all 10,000 + users.  The map would look crowded in places.  I think it's a pretty neat idea to have the map.

Nice.
I think that connie and I wouln't have to worry about overcrowding. ;D

For those who haven't noticed.

If you view the map and click on a member name, the dot from that member will begin to flash

Worked fine for me on the first try using the Classic YaBB format. (IE-6)

One suggestion for a minor change, if it's possible -- add some kind of "edit" function to permit you to move the pin and/or change what shows as the city.  Right now the only way to do that is to remove your pin (which you'll find under "add pin", if you've been looking for it) and put in a new one.

I'd originally left the city blank, then decided what the heck, without my full name there's no harm done, so redid it including the city.

As a P.S. (didn't even notice it till now) -- anyone else notice that we now have national flags included with our names, "status", etc., in each posting?  I assume that's tied in to the new map, and I'd also assume that if you haven't yet "pinned" yourself to the map then you don't yet have a flag (unless you already had one as part of your avatar or signature).

It also adds your ccounties map to your profile. Right under the stars.

It keeps placing my pin in Scotland, about 500 miles out, a different country. It won't alow me to use the UK map to accurately place the pin (firefox, with Javascript firmly bolted down) Alwil New Theme.

I can see the New Zealand even on the World map  ;) but you can select Australia map and there you are!

And there are no places in the map - just place the pin as much as accurate you can and fill out the city name!

Hope it helps

Well eventually got it to work. It didn't want to play with firefox, avant or IE, using the Alwil New Theme. Left it in IE and changed theme to default and it let me place the pin, but had to do this using the world map, it would be great if it would let you display UK map (or other region/more detailed).

Job done and back to Alwil New Theme and firefox.

Go to the Members Map and underneath the map, you'll find all the names listed by country.
click on a name and it lights up where that person is located

Men are blue and Women are red    I don't know what green is?

Well, this is strange. I redid the city name on the Map for my location. It WAS blue when listed as Houston. But, when I renamed the city to the actual city I live near the color of the pin changed to green. You can take your mouse, hover it over the pin when viewing these colors and they will tell you which member lives at that particular location. Don't know why mine is green now but not a problem. ;D

Pavel, (if you want) help me out here. I too have installed that mod for quiete some time. But somehow I can't get it to work for the other themes I have installed on my board. Do I need to copy all "new files" to the other folders or do I only have to change index.template.php (and if so how?)

I (ofcourse) check already the SMF board, but just can't find what I am looking for.

Yours is red, cause your gender is set to female. What's wrong with that?  ;)

Blue = men
Red =  women
Green = no gender at all  8)

It's up to them to decide and set it in the profile. Or just stay "green", if that's what they want... :P

Maxthon browser (although I tried also IE) says 'script error' with Classic YaBBSE Theme.
