Title: Does Avast recognize W32.Bropia worm?
Post by: TAP on January 22, 2005, 06:20:35 AM
Hi,

Does Avast recognize W32.Bropia worm? just because this worm has spreaded via MSN Messenger in so many countries in Asia (my country is included) since 1/20/2005 and this worm also drops some W32.Spybot.Worm on victim machines. I can't seem to find this worm in the latest VPS history, hope Avast uses a different name.

Symantec raises this worm to level 2 - http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.bropia.html

Check the virus database I would say.

To see how the different av vendors call a malware have a look at VGREP (http://www.virusbtn.com/resources/vgrep/)
(keep in mind that vgrep always is a bit behind with the names)
