Title: On-access "a" ball

Newb here,
My On-Access "A" ball doesn't spin when I go between programs or on the Internet.  I've read in other posts that this is annoying to some,  but  I was wondering if I've got a problem here or a blessing. Everything seems to be working , just this little quirk. Any in-site would be greatly helpful. I'm sure I'm being just a paranoid newbie . Thx ???

It depends on your settings, if you want the "A" ball to spin (scan your programs on open) left click the avast "A" ball (next to your system clock) and it will bring up a bix, select "standard Shield" from the left side and then slid the bar over to "High" in the top right hand corner, then when you open a program, the avast ball should spin.
But the Avast ball should spin if your just switching between URLs (webpages) on the internet.

I addition to what Lee already told you, I can say that the ball only spins when Avast is scanning something.
What will be scanned (or what not) depends (as Lee explained) on your settings.

You can check, to be sure, the value AnimateIcon=0 into the [AAVM] section of avast4.ini file.
