Title: why the pop up ?

I downloaded the free version of Avast a month ago (before that I had the pro version, so was paying)...
now Avast keeps popping up and telling me me subscription is going to expire, what's going on... I thought the free version lasts a year too ?

free laste a year if you register.......and a new year when you register again....and a new when....
if not you only get 30 day trail.  ;)
