It does have this in the email header
X-Antivirus: avast! (VPS 0504-3, 27/01/2005), Outbound message
X-Antivirus-Status: Clean
but no text in the body of the message... i tried it both in html and plain text, neither insert the text.

Stupid question, but did you check the corresponding option in the program settings? (additionally, for the correct resident provider?)
-
thats not only in the pro version is it?
i searched the 'settings' a few times... or maybe i've had too many late nights
can u tell me where it is?

In the "On-Access Scanner" configuration - just click on the avast! blue tray icon to make it appear.
Then, it depends on what e-mail client you use - for (full) MS Outlook, it's Outlook/Exchange provider, for other clients (including Outlook Express) it's Internet Mail.
The options are called "Insert note into clean message".

thanks,
I had to restart.. the icon in the systray was gone... my pc was sick :(
but, after hours of scanning and a reboot it's fixed those nasty viruses and all is sweet ;D
