Title: Is Avast a trogan for google chrome? (Resolved)
Post by: xpphil on October 25, 2012, 11:23:45 AM
Since i've wiped out every trace of google from my PC, specially update stuff (progs & register), boot up is almost instant (much faster). And I want to go on this way.
On the last Avast programm update, chrome was installed on my system against my will. I'm not quite sure there wasn't a box to uncheck because up to now I was trustfull with Avast and launched in confidence.
In both cases i'd have preferred Avast to leave me my choice.
Chills me with Avast.

There is a box to untick if you dont wish to have chrome installed so i guess you missed it, avast has had the Google Chrome offer for at least the last year or so.
