Why do I have to register my Avast4 annually?
Will Avast4 HE continue to be free for ever?
Re-registring the program annually makes me wonder if some day Alwil discontinues its free HE version.  :'( :'(
I will be more comfortable if I knew that may be some day I will not be able to dowbload newer versions of Avast but still be able to update its virus db.  ::) ::)
Am I pessimistic?  ???

There are currently NO plans to discontinue avast! Home in the future. For the reasons about annual registration see my answer in this thread: http://www.avast.com/forum/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=713;start=msg4054#msg4054  ;)
