Title: Can I Use Two Computers

i have just become involved in something that necessitates having several windows from different pieces of software online and open at one time on the monitor.

I would like to hook up my laptop thru my router and use it as a secondary computer, running some of the online software on the laptop and some on my pc - simply to give me a better uncluttered view of the open windows.

Does my Avast licence and software allow me to do this?
Are there certain steps I should follow?
Is there anything I should NOT do?

I'm running Avast 4.5.561 in XP
