Title: avast helpers tried to scam me

i uninstalled avast by accident and when i went to install it  i diddnt know how to so i tyoed in avast help  and this website poped up http://avast.mytechbay.com/avast-support  so i called and this lady with a east indian accent took control of my pc and ran a scan with advance system optimizer and it came up with all these errors and corupt files and she told me before she would re install avast  wich i paid a 2 year fee for she said it would cost me 70 dollars to get rid of all the malaware and  trojans  as soon as i said no  i wanted avast installed  wich i already paid for  she hung up the phone............ anyways i re downloaded avast installed the license and did a deep scan and scanned my pc and nothing came up like what she had on her scan.......now im wondering if this is a scam and has nothing to do with avast or is this another iyogi BS   any replies would be helpful

If you want to get scammed, as you almost did, then pick a third party.
The link you posted has nothing to do with Avast.
The forum is probably the best place to get advice on anything computer and avast! related.
The price is certainly cheaper than any other service.  ;D

Bob you forgot to say how cheap. It is just one "Thank you guys my Avast! is running great"  ;)
