Title: Winmail.exe quarantined - Lost Email.
Post by: clonehenge on November 24, 2012, 01:00:27 PM
Ok, I've looked inside the program everywhere.

Free Avast personal use, for some reason out of the blue it decided to Quarantine my Winmail.exe (vista Mail) temporarily as it claimed it was suspicious. Never happened before, and it found nothing. But it froze my Email, I saw at least 20 new Emails for the last 2 days, and then it closed Winmail.exe and reopened it - Mail lost.

Where does it put these things.

If it's turned out to have deleted these Emails permanently, then this means I am not using Avast any further. This would be utterly unacceptable.

So I am not going to expect this. It has quaranted them somewhere.

Where does it store the quarantined stuff, seeing as I'm a free personal user, and do not have any say in the quarantine options apart from turning it off entirely.

thanks
