Title: AshWebSv.exe - Application Error

Can anyone tell me why I receive this error "AshWebSv.exe - Application Error "just before shutdown.
It seems to have something to do with AVAST version 4.5

First, what version of avast are you using, exactly (including the build number)? ashWebSv.exe is just present in the 4.6 beta.

Also, what OS are you using?

Avast 4.5 home edition ;taken from the " about avast ".

My specs; xp pro sp2

Huh, and is it really ashWebSv.exe? The point is, this file does not ship with avast version 4.5 at all! :)

Isn't it e.g. ashServ.exe?

 yes you are correct ashServ.exe . Do I need to correct anything. The error appears in a pop-up just before closing.

I have this error too, often. (Currently using 4.6).

put me down as #3. using 4.6.595

But that's for ashServ.exe  Which is not what this Subject is about.
This should either be moved to the right thread or, rename the thread because it has nothing to do with AshWebSV.exe
