First, to get the pertinent information out of the way:
Avast Internet Security v7.0.1474
Windows Vista SP2 (32 bit)
Private Internet Access
Now for the problem: my license got banned. I think that I know the reason for this: I connect to the internet through a VPN, and the other day, instead of connecting through Romania as I generally do, I connected through Sweden. As my updates have been coming through Romania, I believe that the license got flagged as being shared when Avast updated through Sweden. The thing is, I haven't shared the license, and even more interesting is that Avast says that my protection continues until 11/16/2015. Have I inadvertently gone against the EULA or something?
And before anyone asks, I have submitted a ticket, though I have not heard back yet. I presume that this is because of the weekend.
Thanks in advance for your input.

I believe a cashback has been preformed on the purchase (by the credit card company or the online store)... so that would be the reason most likely.

Dear Woodwalker,
I have not heard of this happening with a legal license. All the pirated licenses are banned this way. Please let us knopw what the asnwer is. Creating a ticket was the correct action.

Igor, this is indeed the reason. I was somewhat confused when I got the email from paypal saying that someone had refunded my money (the confusion stems from my not asking for the refund).

Well, could be some automated system of the online shop or credit card company (i.e. some kinda of "false positive" in fraud detection). Now I should emphasize that I'm mostly guessing here... maybe the guys at sales@avast.com might have some more info (though if the refund wasn't initiated by them, which I believe it wasn't, they might not know much more).
