Title: error loading wgsdgsdgdsgsd.exe
Post by: amuok on January 30, 2013, 06:50:05 PM
After using Avast to get rid of the FBI/Moneypak virus, could not log into Vista due to above error 'rundll error loading wgsdgsdgdsgsd.exe' . The following solution worked;

I had the same exact error. Could not get past logon screen due to this 'wgsdgsdgdsgsd.exe module not found'. This was after I had cleaned the system using Avast antivirus. I did find an article on the web that provided the following steps;

1. Reboot, while rebooting hit F8

2. Select 'Safe mode with command prompt'

3. Logon and when you get the black command screen type 'regedit'

4. Navigate to

 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

5.  userinit parameter is supposed to be C:\Windows\system32\userinit.exe

6.  'Shell' parameter was pointing to the virus created;

"C:\ ProgramData\dsgsdgdsgdsgw.bat"

7. Modify this 'Shell' to be "Explorer.exe"

8. Reboot and that should fix the problem!

Try it!
