Title: Slowdown in internet access speed

I seem to be experiencing a slowdown in internet access speed, which has become more noticeable in the more recent betas.  Does anyone else feel this way? [especially those large sites with lot of pictures like online albums]

What are your system specs?
Does disabling the avast WebShield module solve the problem?
