Title: Prog Updates

Hi There,
I am sure I got two prog updates today, the latest one I have is 7.038403, I see that on my windows machine there will be a vers. 8 Feb28th.

I wonder why there is no mention of prog updates on this forum, also will there be a vers 8 for OS X ??

In fact, version 38397* is "avast! 8" for Mac OS X, the numbering is nevertheless for some marketing reasons (that we in the development team of course do not understand ;-)) still at 7x. However, the amount of new features and improvements is fully comparable with the changes in avast 8 for Windows, if you take the "size" of the products into consideration. In other words - there will for sure not be another major update of the Mac OS X version during the next 6 months.
