Post by: roloro1557 on March 10, 2013, 12:40:22 AM
I have the latest version of Avast. My question is why does Avastsvc.exe access my HD so much, even on sites I have Avast disabled on (like netflix)?

The AvastSvc.exe is a core process of Avast Antivirus or Internet Security software in the background. It provides realtime protection of your computer against viruses you might download, on web pages, or coming through email.  It also manages the automatic updating of Avast software with the latest antivirus & security datas. It is responsible for running scheduled virus scanning jobs.

If you want to be less protected - do so. Good luck.
