Title: TrojanDownloader:Win32/Regonid.A
Post by: zeepman on April 18, 2013, 05:15:02 AM
MS scan found this trojan (TrojanDownloader:Win32/Regonid.A) and Avast hasn't said anything about it. I can't find any information on it via the web that doesn't come from some site trying to make money or make me download some program that will probably make things worse. Is there a way to get rid of this? Thank you!

Thank you very much for the replies! The program that discovered them was Microsoft Safety Scanner. It said that it "partially removed" it. I saw one site that talked about how deep the infection can get but no removal options. The Microsoft web site talked about it but once again didn't offer removal options. (I haven't checked the posted one yet.) Thank you all very much again. I will try the suggestions in the morning first thing.
