I have, and wondered if a solution had been found yet. Mine seems to have changed at shutdown from "memory could not be written" to "memory could not be read" :-\
-
I occasionally get the error message on shutdown but it is very rare now.
-
After a long time, I got one yesterday... It's very rare for me (thanks God) so, I won't give it that much worry 8)
-
Exactly the same for me as what Technical just said...I got it last night on shutdown for the first time in ages.
-
OK, thanks guys :)
I wont worry either then ;D
-
If these are the symptoms, then yes, I also have this error at closedown.
What should be done about it?
-
Rika, it doesn't seem to be anything we need to really worry about.
It's not hurting your system in any way; it's just an annoying little bug that appears to be caused by something perhaps not finishing properly before windows shuts down.
The Avast developers are working to try and fix it.
-
In other forum I've read that this error could be related to Microsoft AntiSpyware...
They suggested to close this application before shutting down the computer.

I have this problem from time to time and I don't use Microsoft Antispyware.
