Title: How to Block https web site in avast pro 8.

Hello,

I am using Avast Pro 8.
I have tried to block https://www.facebook.com and added this url in site blocking. but it displaying http://https://www.facebook.com/* and doesn't work.

I have also tried *facebook.com/* but it doesn't work. Even any web site which is start with https it also not work.

Please help.

Yea I have had to same problem. I still don't know how to fix this.

There's nothing to fix.
Site blocking only works for http.

Since the Site blocking utilises the Web Shield to change the page display to indicate the site has been blocked, this can only be done on http sites/urls as that is the traffic that is redirected through the web shield localhost proxy.

You could use the HOSTS file to block those or some other HOSTS file manager software. Some firewalls also allow you to add URLs to block lists.
