Title: Infected! MOV:CVE 2011-2140 [expl] Please help!
Post by: Tien on April 28, 2013, 05:42:32 AM
Webshield keeps spamming infection notices found when I stream something requiring the use of adobe flash player. This is also causing the stream to constantly stutter. Nothing suspicious found upon actually running normal computer scan.

How can I remove this exploit and get adobe back to normal?

This is the notice that pops up under webshield history:

VIRUS NAME: MOV:CVE-2011-2140 [expl]

Also, clamvax was also unable to detect the virus during a scan.

Thanks!

Your AV, Avast, is working, and just protected you from downloading a video that tries to exploit a vulnerability, why do you want to download a file that your AV is saying that it has a virus? It can be a false positive sure, but ClamAV not detecting it doesn't mean it is, you have to try with more AVs to have any conclusion on that.
