Title: servers_mirror.def invalid
Post by: dr.mow on April 01, 2005, 01:44:19 PM
hello avasties  ;D

i use the great mirror. ( i look nice, too  ;D )
today i changed the mirrorserver, where the mirror-tool has to upload the files.
thats, okay.  :)
but then, the clients want to get the update from the "old" mirror-server.
if i change then servers_mirror.def then the avastlogfile says to me. the file is invalid.
okay, i see a md5 checksum in it  ;)

what can i do, that the clients accept my new servers_mirror.def

i changed the line ....  \\hausen\avast  to ..... \\ml370\avast
you can see, only then names has been changed.

i hope for help

Simply re-build the mirror, it will re-generate the server_mirror.def file. Then upload to both new and old locations. So the people with old server_mirror.def will be automatically redirected to the new server and never both the old server again.

SOLUTION:
i have changed the corresponding line(s!!) in  .....\avast\config\mirror.ini
then i have restart the mirror.exe and i found the new servers_mirror.def

so, finally i distribute this file to the clients.

:) thanks for the help
