Hi - I had problems with connecting to internet Explorer, so was advised to 'refresh' my pc (I have windows 8 on a HP laptop). I did this, and a lot of my applications were removed - Applications removed while refreshing my PC have been shown on my desktop but I have to individually re-install those that I want back.
My avast has also been removed -I bought it last January. I cannot put it back on - I have quickly had to install the free one which does not have all the support that my paid one had, and that only lasts for a month.
Please can anyone assist me with this problem - I am not very computer literate lol
Many thanks

Which avast!..?? (Pro/IS/Premier)

ahh - now you're asking ...
it's the one next to the free one when you go onto the Avast website - sorry - it has all the free protection.
But, I have found my customer number plus it says - name of product - AV_AIS - if that helps ? sorry
kind regards

that 'free' protection should read - extra protection

1. Download avast! Internet Security: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe
2. Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed avast! versions..!!)
3. Reinstall avast! with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.

Hi Asyn
I've followed your instructions - thank you
however, when I reinstalled the avast, it's still asking me to pay !! ouch
I've logged into my account and says that I am covered until next January, but my computer says 'no' lol
I've tried to ring their helpdesk but of course there is no one there
