I installed avast! Professional on my main machine now, and got a little unamused surprised... I use my favorite firewall on this machine wich is Kaspersky Anti-Hacker v1.7, but avast! thinks it's Kaspersky Anti-Virus running (see screenshot)...
This is a real pitty, is there a work-around or will you guys fix this problem???
Thanks in advance,
StyleWarz
(It's a fresh Windows XP SP2 US installation...)

You can test if avast will work with an 'incompatible' application...
You'll see. I never used Kaspersky so, I'm not sure.
Probably, you'll have troubles... So, avast! won't be for you... :-\ :'(

Well I already tested out avast! alot, and bought a Professional key, but the supid me forgot to test it in combination with Anti-Hacker...
Anyway I really hope Awil will solve this problem, since it's not so good products get regonised wrong... Let's see what they say about this :)

Did you try to delete the KLIF.sys file like you've posted in other thread?

Isn't 'Kaspersky Anti-Hacker' a firewall?, rather then an AV.

Thanks for all your reactions... I discussed this issue with Vlk, and it seems it can't be fixed, Anti-Hacker uses a driver to function with the same name as the AV driver... Too bad, I've to find a other firewall :(

Halio styleWarz,
Cannot you try to rename the driver. How does compatibility then work out. Sometimes it is just a question of renaming the stuff. Else try Resource Hacker on this one proggie, you can even change it to Russian parameters. Never give up...that is the way of "serdecni ludzi ;)". Keep trying,
