I was asked about mods,bots,muds in a computer.does anybody have an idea what it is ty Ronzoil

imho:

mod = moderator (like in a Board like this)
bots = roBOTS: programs that do some tasks (mostly web/net-related) automatically; can be anything from searchengines searching Web-sites for keywords/mail-adresses to malware "bots"

Hmm, in my time, MUD meant Multi-User Dungeon... when did it change? Am I that old?  :-\

Computing Dictionary    Definition:

Multi-User Dimension or "Multi-User Domain". Originally "Multi-User Dungeon".
Don't know about your age, though... ;D ;D ;)

Yes igor, you are, but don't worry, I'm there too. MUD were dungeons, only use D&D players used them at one time.
