Title: Entered my yearly Free edition Key and instead of yearly date it says 90 days ?

I just entered my yearly update license # (free edition) after 8 years of using this amazing product -each year I would click on the Blue Ball and -about avast- enter the key # and it would switch the date for another year this time with the new version it came back that I have 90 days before it expires have they changed it from one year or do I need to speak to someone at the 1-800 number ? PLEASE ANY help will help

Hi did you just update the programme ?

Also what version Avast are you using

  I updated it through the maintenance/registration section
 Using Version 8 free edition

OK lets try a re-install.  Ensure that the licence file is on your desktop 

Download Uninstall Utility (http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility) to your Desktop.
Download the correct version of Avast 
Avast Free (http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe)
Avast Pro (http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_pro_antivirus_setup.exe)
Avast Internet Security (http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe)
Avast Premier (http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_premier_antivirus_setup.exe)
Disconnect from the net
Uninstall Avast via control panel
