Title: Upgrading to Windows 8
Post by: avastuser1243 on July 06, 2013, 10:54:39 PM
I'm going to be upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8 soon and I would like to install Avast Premier without connecting to the internet first. Will Avast Premier accept my license key without being connected to the internet or do I have to install the free Avast and upgrade that to Premier?

It will accept the licence file, save the licence file to a USB drive and once windows 8 is installed then install Avast premier and when it asks for the licence direct it to the USB

If you're upgrading to Windows 8.1, avast! will not allow you to install.

If you're upgrading to Windows 8.1, avast! will not allow you to install.
As 8.1 is still in beta, there are some programs, including avast!, that do not support it as of now. There will be 8.1 support, just like there was 8 support.
