I'm looking for avast on a CD, only to do some boot-time scan.
Does it exist ?

You mean an Avast Rescue CD? You need to purchase that. Avast has a built in boot scan. Just schedule it. Its under the security tab. But there is NO reason to run a boot scan unless your currently under a malware attack.
