I have a windows XP machine here that constantly comes up with 0 days remaining (subscription) but there are still 222 days remaining.
Avast 8 Pro
Windows XP
1 year old machine
we have approx. 30 user licences and this machine is the only one giving us issue's
Once we get this error we simply shut down the machine and reboot it and everything come back up normally (for a couple of days) then it starts 0 days remaining again.
Any ideas?

Is the computer time/day/month/year correct?
If not adjust and reboot

Yes date and time are fine and a simple reboot fixes the problem...

but the fix is only temporary and it never lasts for the same amount of time...

try avast repair
controlpanel > ad/remove programs > avast > uninstall > repair option... wait a minute and reboot
any change?

I'll have to wait for the problem to re-occur :(
Since this is an employees machine we have to get it back up and running asap..
We also noticed that when Avast updates it sometimes makes Internet Explorer go non responsive.
Same machine.

would loading the Avast services "after" all other services help?
