Title: Locked out of Avast Enterprise Admin Console
Post by: eprunty on July 16, 2013, 10:05:18 PM
I was working with the Avast Enterprise Administration Console and was trying to set up a new user, but as it turns out I won't need it.  I got out of the Admin Console and when I tried to get back it, it is telling me the following:
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
Unable to login as administrator or connection error.

I contacted support, but support to EDU customers is "limited".  Still waiting to hear back on what is actually included in the "limited" support.

Any help that anyone could give would be greatly appreciated!

How did you fix it?  I'm having the same problem.  Database connection is okay. License file is fine and I reset the password to make sure that wasn't the issue.

Fixed it, posting solution in case anyone else has this problem.  One of the avast services was stopped, started it again and was able to login fine.

I restarted services: Avast Enterprise Administrator Server  and   Avast Enterprise Mirror HTTP Server, no luck.
I had to use Task Manager to kill process "LightSVC.exe" (have sibling process "LightTPD.exe")  and then restarted services and finally worked!
