Anyone else is having this issue? I am on my Windows 7 Pro PC writing this post, because my mac is blocking forum.avast.com unless I disable webshield.
Even Avast for Mac doesn't like Avast lmfao
-
No, I don't have that issue. What does the warning say?
-
no warning. It just won't display the page, saying the server is not sending any data.
As soon as I turn off Webshield I can get on to http://forum.avast.com.
I tried this with both Chrome and Safari. Does the same thing
-
When the webshield blocks a page you get a warning. This is something else.

More or less same problem on a Mini Mac Mountain Lion, check Web Shield ON and no more web connection until unchecked. A Mac Pro running Lion does NOT have the problem sitting next to it and on same router. Only "host" I can see on NEtstat is the "default" address for the router and "localhost". Any Help? J Vee

Try to disable IPv6 support in the avast webshield/mailshield configuration and see if that helps.

:( Nope, still same problem. J Vee

Know issue that we cannot well reproduce is that after an avast! installation webshield blocks a network traffic until a computer reboot.

Have rebooted many times, including router, and still same problem only with the Mac OS Mountain Lion computer. Any help for mountain lion.? J Vee
-
:(n I guess from the lack of response that Avast does not support Web Shield on Mountain Lion OS. I did want to upgrade to paid version for several computers but just can't without a fix for this problem.
-
I don't have that issue on Mountain Lion (10.8.4). It just runs well.
Excuse me, have you tried to uninstall Avast! in a proper way and reinstall it?
