Title: virus

avast found a  virus in my winxp p4 PC
the file was in c:\system volume..\_restore\{...}

what do I do with this. if I delete could my system crach and if I move it then it just sits in avast folder and everytime you run avast it complains of the same virus in avast chest area?

Just disable System Restore.
Generally, recurring infection could be prevented disabling XP System Restore, scanning (or boot scanning), boot, enabling System Restore again.
