Title: Auto-sandbox exclusions ignored... again
Post by: asdfko0 on August 29, 2013, 03:42:44 PM
We use a piece of old software that Avast! routinely flags as suspicious due to low reputation and tries to auto-sandbox it. This is despite having added the program folder to the exclusions list for auto-sandbox AND to the global exclusions list as well.

Last time this happened it was fixed by adding the program to global exclusions, or so I thought anyways. This time it's ignoring both auto-sandbox exclusions and global exclusions. And by time I came here to write this, it stopped flagging the program as suspicious. I'm certain it will happen again though.

I don't want to tell users to disable auto-sandbox, but that seems to be the only way to make this nuisance go away permanently. I'm running Endpoint Protections Suite 8.0.1490 with updated definitions on a Windows 7 machine.
