Title: Wise Disk & Registry Cleaner
Post by: Hermie on August 30, 2013, 08:45:14 AM
Morning guys!
I was noticed that Wise Disk Cleaner and Wise Registry Cleaner (downloads available for free at www.wisecleaner.com) are great software programs for cleaning up and speeding up Windows computers.
I'm now using Ccleaner.
What are your thoughts about these Wise software products, do you recommend them?

I shall be looking forward hearing from you, thanks in advance. ;)

Best regards, Hermie

My opinion is to never use a registry cleaner unless you're an expert at cleaning your registry.
One wrong entry removal or change can result in a non bootable system.
Clean garbage from your computer but leave the registry alone.
(Your computer, your decision)

@Hermie

I agree with what bob3160 said.  I used Ccleaner 1 time and it really messed up my computer.  Had to do a system restore in order to get all of the stuff Ccleaner got rid of back.

Nothing wrong with Ccleaner if used properly. Simply don't use the Registry cleaner of the product.
Any tool regardless of how good can cause harm if not used properly.
There are many users who make changes to avast! without first knowing the consequences..... it happens all the time.

Wise Disk Cleaner: safe.
Wise Registry Cleaner: too aggressive and risky. Use CCleaner one.

Microsoft isn't alone in that opinion. :)
It's still your computer and your decision. :)

I've used CCleaner and Wise registry cleaner for quite some time for cleaning the registry. Never had a problem with them, but it's your choice.

I use ccleaner and i have used wise registry cleaner but i am in no way advocating their use.I have never experienced any issues with them but thats not to say others will not.

Unless you download and install a large amount of software then i see no reason to use a registry cleaner.

It isn't the installing process of a program that screws up your computers registry.
It's the improper or incomplete removal of a program that's the culprit. :)

As one does not know what and where the registry writes in Windows, it is rather unwise to use a regitry cleaner on a propriety software.
