Title: Avast 4.6 Pro and AOL 9

Something very strange is happening......ever since I installed Avast Pro on my fathers system is fast system seems to be bogging down while connected through the dial-up access.  There has to be a AOL conflict with Avast.

There is quite the delayed response when he is typing on the keyboard....he would type then not see the letters until a few seconds later......when he highlights text on a webpage or even scrolling down is delayed and very slow.  No problems when NOT connected to the Internet and AOL.

What is the solution?

Please activate logging in webshield (edit <avast>\data\avast4.ini file, find the section [WebScanner], add the line EnableLogging=1, restart Web Shield). The log file should be created in <avast>\data\log\ashwebsv.log. Post it here or send by mail.
