Title: Windows BootCamp virus?
Post by: metsoblue on September 12, 2013, 09:07:22 PM
So I scanned my Mac using Avast, and the one virus found was on the bootcamp windows 8 partition, it reads '/Volumes/BOOTCAMP/pagefile.sys'  'Win32:Zhelatin [Wrn]'

However when I boot up the windows 8 partition and perform a scan, it reveals no problems. I should also mention that from what I have read this file is important, and so i cannot be deleted or moved to the virus chest, or modified in anyway.

So i was hopeing someone could put my mind at ease and tell me if i have to do something more, and if so what, or if the its just because i am scanning a partition that i didn't intend to, and it simple does not like this file
