Title: Virus found in OE
Post by: johnjrsmom on October 02, 2003, 04:31:59 PM
I just downloaded Avast and I am having trouble understanding how all the features work. However my question is, when I attempt to send out an email from OE, Avast pops up indicating a "Virus alert found in OE". how do you remove a virus from your Outlook Express box.  ???  I have the free version. Thank you.

You mean the message "avast! Virus warning, Suspicious Message ..." ? This is heuristic check of mail, it doesn't necessarily mean a virus. What are the contents of the message window ? To configure this feature click the "a"-ball tray icon to display On-Access Scanner dialog, click Details, select Internet Mail, click Customize and see pages Heuristic and Heuristic-advanced.
