Title: avast Subscription
Post by: Racker_CRO on October 05, 2013, 10:37:33 AM
Hi,

I bought avast last month and canceled my subscription. Now it is expired but avast still shows as Premium. I'm unable to renew it, there is no such option on google play (it doesn't show any option for payment), google wallet or by tapping on Premium button in avast. When I tap it it says that my subscription is valid until 4th of October and if I tap Manage subscription it takes me to google play avast application but as I wrote there is no option to renew / extend it.

I tried to submit ticket to avast support but got reply that google play is responsible for payments / subscriptions. Any one have any info on it?

Thank you.

I found work around. I created another user profile (same google account as on my phone) on my tablet and purchase subscription there. After that I clicked Manage subscription on my mobile phone and it showed extended.
Thank you avast for your "excellent" support!! NOT!

Hi,

I don't deal with subscriptions so my knowledge of this topic is severely limited. Sorry.

Well, you do have someone dealing with it who can give some kind of answer, or move this topic to a relevant forum. Anyway my subscription is active for now, how long it will stay this way depends on Recording audio issue still not resolved.

Regards.

Hi,

yes, we do, but he (or they) is not my subordinate so I can only ask him to reply and by my experience, he replies on the forum once in a week or two depending on how busy he is.

I wasn't referring to you personally for not assisting, NHF. My comment was globally pointed to avast support. Thank you for your reply.

Regards.

Yeah, I know, I'm just saying I can't really do much in that matter unfortunatelly.
