Title: Return to Avast free version 8

I would like to return to Avast Free version 8 until the missing taskbar icon and the desktop icon problem is resolved. How do i do this please?

Works for me.  Thanks.  Reason it is good is because filehippo has a habit of linking the newest version to the Download Version Link as below attached .jpg screenshot even tho one clicks the one for version 8.0.1497.  Clicking the Mirror Link gets one the correct file.

To prevent automatic updating to the newest version see the second .jpg setting one must make to ensure that this does not happen:

Given that in my avast 9 the tasbar icon is not present and the user interface is not available (desktop icon does nothing). Is avast 9 actually protecting my computer and is it updating?
