Title: On demand command line scanning for download manager?
Post by: Mustard on May 30, 2005, 03:25:14 PM
I'm curious if Avast can scan my files on demand from my download manager.  I have the option in Leechget to support virus scanning, but I have no idea what  switches/parameters I need to use to get Avast to scan a single file passed on by the download manager.  I assume you use AshQuick.exe, but what is the file parameter?

Try to insert AshQuick's full path name there - without any parameters.
e.g. "C:\Program Files\ALWIL Software\avast4\ashQuick.exe"

That worked. :)

I guess I was making things more complicated than they needed to be.

LeechGet had a suggestion in it's help file that I could use this;

"C:\Program Files\myProgram\myProgram.exe" -file="%FILE%"

It seems to be passing the file over without the parameter though.
